Huawei’s New Wearables Are Here

At its Innovative Product Launch in Berlin today, Huawei unveiled an ambitious new line-up of wearables and smart devices, reinforcing its commitment to fusing cutting-edge technology with sophisticated aesthetics. Under the theme “Fashion Next”, the Chinese tech giant presented a vision where intelligent health tracking meets style-forward design.
HUAWEI WATCH 5: A New Era of Wrist Tech
Headlining the event was the HUAWEI WATCH 5, a smartwatch the company calls its most advanced to date. Central to its innovation is the debut of the HUAWEI TruSense System combined with Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology. This new interactive system leverages a Distributed Sensor Module to enable fingertip-based health monitoring — promising faster, more precise, and comprehensive readings.
Gesture controls have also been upgraded, introducing new “Double Slide” and “Double Tap” functions for seamless, touchless interaction. Fashion remains integral to the design language, with exclusive new Purple and Sand Gold finishes positioning the WATCH 5 as a style statement as much as a tech tool.
Wearables with Purpose: The New Flagships
Beyond the WATCH 5, Huawei introduced a slate of new flagship products designed for active, connected lifestyles:
- HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series retains its signature square form while embracing a ‘Fashion Active’ philosophy. The ultra-slim FIT 4 Pro (just 9.3 mm thick) offers enhanced support for outdoor sports like professional trail running, up to 40-meter diving, and golf course modes, now powered by the advanced TruSense system.
- HUAWEI FreeBuds 6 mark a first for Huawei’s audio division, launching open-fit earbuds with dual-magnetic drivers and lossless audio at 2.3 Mbps. The sleek, droplet-inspired design and upgraded Stable & Clear Calls Noise Cancellation deliver an immersive listening experience without sacrificing style.
- HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 impresses with a Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display, combining boosted brightness with advanced anti-glare and anti-reflection features. Productivity takes center stage with the Huawei Glide Keyboard and revamped HUAWEI Notes app, making it a capable companion for creators and professionals.
Fitness Motivation Reinvented: Active Rings
Huawei also announced an evolution of its popular activity-tracking feature, rebranding “Light Up Your Rings” into “Active Rings”. With over 100 sport modes integrated into its wearables, the company aims to inspire users to “Enjoy Your Moment” — whether through mindful movement or high-intensity training.
Dominating the Wearables Market
It’s not just about flashy launches. According to the latest IDC report, Huawei led the global wearables market in year-over-year shipment growth in 2024 and has retained the top position in China’s market share for six consecutive years. As Huawei continues to expand globally, it positions its wearables as icons of both health-conscious living and personal style.
