Samsung Reinvents Its Smart Monitor Series With OLED and AI

Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its latest Smart Monitor lineup, headlined by the all-new Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model). Alongside updated versions of the Smart Monitor M8 (M80F model) and M7 (M70F model), the new range introduces cutting-edge display technology and artificial intelligence tools designed to elevate both work and play.

According to Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, these monitors reflect how consumer habits are shifting in a hyper-connected world. “The Smart Monitor series continues to evolve based on how people work, watch and play,” Chung explained. The M9, in particular, is positioned as a flagship product offering QD-OLED display technology combined with intelligent AI enhancements — all within a sleek, all-in-one screen.

QD-OLED Brilliance Meets AI-Powered Performance

The star of this release is undoubtedly the Smart Monitor M9, which introduces QD-OLED technology to Samsung’s Smart Monitor family for the first time. This 32-inch 4K QD-OLED panel promises deeper contrasts, vivid colors, and a viewing experience that stands out whether you’re binge-watching a series, gaming online, or multitasking through spreadsheets and video calls.

Samsung has also packed in its proprietary OLED Safeguard+ technology, featuring a dedicated cooling system that minimizes the risk of burn-in, ensuring the display stays pristine over time. A Glare-Free coating helps maintain clarity in various lighting conditions, including bright office or studio spaces.

For image and audio optimization, the M9 uses AI Picture Optimizer, 4K AI Upscaling Pro, and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro — all working in real time to tailor picture and sound based on surrounding conditions and content type. The result is a seamless, high-performance display that feels equally at home in a modern workstation as it does in a living room gaming setup.

Gamers, in particular, will appreciate the 165Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, delivering ultra-smooth, lag-free visuals. Streaming fans can tap into popular apps, Samsung TV Plus, and Samsung Gaming Hub, which offers cloud-based gaming without a PC or console.

Another standout feature is its Pantone Validated certification, which ensures over 2,100 accurate colors and more than 110 SkinTone shades are faithfully reproduced. This makes the M9 a strong contender for content creators and designers seeking reliable color precision on a high-end OLED display.

M8 and M7: Expanding the Smart Monitor Experience

While the M9 leads with premium OLED visuals, Samsung hasn’t neglected the rest of the lineup. The refreshed Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models also deliver impressive capabilities with 32-inch 4K UHD screens built on Samsung’s VA panel technology. Offering crisp detail and vibrant contrast, these monitors target users looking for reliable displays for productivity, streaming, and casual entertainment.

Both models now include AI-powered discovery tools like Click to Search, making it easier for users to interact with content and retrieve information without breaking workflow. The inclusion of Tizen OS Home further personalizes the experience by offering tailored recommendations and quick access to frequently used apps and services.

The M8 and M7 share the same multi-tasking prowess as their flagship sibling, supporting SmartThings integration, Multi Control across Samsung devices, and Multi View for simultaneous content and applications. Native support for Microsoft 365 even allows document creation and editing directly from the monitor — no PC required.

Long-Term Support and Global Rollout

All three models will be available in 32-inch sizes and are set to begin global distribution this month. In a move that underscores Samsung’s commitment to long-term value, the company announced up to seven years of One UI Tizen updates for these Smart Monitors. This ensures users will have access to the latest features, security enhancements, and services well beyond the initial purchase.

A Rising Battle in the Smart Monitor Space

Samsung’s Smart Monitor push comes amid growing competition in the all-in-one display market. Rivals like LG’s MyView Smart Monitor and Dell’s UltraSharp series are also incorporating AI-powered features and cloud gaming capabilities into their screens. Samsung’s decision to integrate QD-OLED panels into its Smart Monitors — previously reserved for high-end TVs and gaming monitors — signals how seriously the company is taking this increasingly important product category.
