Saudi Arabia-based artificial intelligence startup Humain is preparing to launch a new operating system that allows users to interact with computers through spoken commands. The product, named Humain One, is positioned as a long-term alternative to traditional icon-based systems like Windows and macOS. CEO Tareq Amin presented the concept at the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh, emphasizing a shift from clicking icons to expressing intent verbally. While other firms are exploring similar technologies, Humain intends to be the first to officially release such a system.
A New Approach to Operating Systems
Humain One represents a departure from decades of graphical user interfaces, offering a voice-first experience for task execution. The system interprets spoken instructions to perform functions typically accessed through menus and applications. Development began shortly after Humain’s founding in May under the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth vehicle. Internal testing has focused on practical applications, including payroll and human resources management.
The company views its operating system as a foundational shift in how users engage with machines. By removing reliance on visual navigation, Humain aims to streamline workflows and improve accessibility. The spokesperson noted that the system has been evaluated in real-world scenarios to refine its capabilities. Broader deployment plans have not yet been disclosed, though the launch is expected within days.

Beyond software, Humain is investing heavily in AI infrastructure, including plans to build approximately six gigawatts of data center capacity.
