  • New models target immersive play and competitive speed

AGON by AOC has unveiled two gaming monitors designed for distinct player needs. The 27-inch U27G4XM combines UHD resolution with FHD versatility through a Dual Frame Mode, offering MiniLED technology with 1152 local dimming zones and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Meanwhile, the 25-inch 25G4KUR focuses on esports performance, delivering an overclocked 420Hz refresh rate in a compact format. Both models aim to balance advanced display technology with accessibility for mainstream gamers.

MiniLED HDR for Immersive Gameplay

The U27G4XM builds on earlier models with a higher 4K resolution, Fast IPS panel, and updated G4 design. Its 1200 cd/m² peak brightness and HDR1000 certification provide detailed highlights and deep blacks without OLED burn-in risks. MiniLED backlighting enables precise local dimming, enhancing visibility in dark areas while maintaining vibrant effects. Dual Frame Mode allows instant switching between 4K at 160Hz for single-player experiences and FHD at 320Hz for competitive play.

Color accuracy is a key feature, with 151.8% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage. The monitor supports both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at 4K 120Hz, making it suitable for console gaming. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connections ensure compatibility with modern graphics cards. Streamers and creators benefit from PiP/PbP functionality, enabling multitasking alongside premium visuals.

Esports Precision at 420Hz

The 25G4KUR is tailored for competitive players who prioritize speed and focus. Its 24.5-inch size reduces head movement and enhances concentration during fast-paced matches. Full HD resolution ensures that most modern GPUs can achieve the 420Hz refresh rate, widening accessibility. Fast IPS technology delivers 1ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT response times, supported by DisplayHDR 400 and 121% sRGB coverage.

Adaptive-Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility provide smooth gameplay across variable frame rates. Low input lag mode ensures immediate responsiveness, critical for esports scenarios. Ergonomic adjustments include height, tilt, and rotation options, catering to professional setups. Additional features such as Shadow Control and Game Color optimization enhance visibility in competitive environments.

AOC’s Gaming Ecosystem

Both monitors integrate AOC’s gaming toolkit, including customizable crosshairs, G-Menu software, and USB 3.2 hubs for peripherals. Flicker-free panels and blue light filters support longer sessions with reduced eye strain. The G4 design language offers slim bezels on three sides, ideal for multi-monitor configurations. Each model reflects AOC’s strategy to deliver specialized solutions for immersive and competitive gaming.

The 420Hz refresh rate of the 25G4KUR places it among the fastest consumer monitors currently available. Such speeds are particularly valued in esports training centers, where fractions of a second can determine match outcomes, highlighting the growing demand for ultra-high refresh displays in professional gaming.
