D-Link Corporation has introduced two new Wi-Fi 7 routers aimed at enhancing connectivity for modern households and small enterprises. The AQUILA PRO AI M36 BE3600 Smart Mesh Router and the R36 BE3600 Smart Router are designed to meet growing demands for high-speed, low-latency wireless access. Both models incorporate dual-band Wi-Fi 7 technology, supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies with Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 160 MHz channels, and 4K-QAM modulation. These features enable faster data rates, reduced congestion, and improved efficiency across connected environments.

Performance and Management Features

Each router includes 2.5G WAN and LAN ports for high-speed wired connections, alongside WPA3 encryption and parental controls for added security. AI-driven traffic management helps optimize bandwidth allocation, ensuring smoother performance during peak usage. Users can configure and monitor their networks through the AQUILA PRO AI app, which offers a streamlined interface for setup and customization. These capabilities position the routers as practical solutions for homes integrating smart devices, streaming services, and remote work setups.

The M36 BE3600 is tailored for whole-home coverage, featuring omnidirectional antennas and mesh networking to eliminate dead zones. Its support for MLO Mesh enhances communication between devices and access points, maintaining consistent connectivity. Aesthetic design elements, including curved surfaces and wing-like antenna structures, reflect a focus on form as well as function. Meanwhile, the R36 BE3600 offers four external high-gain antennas, delivering robust signal strength and coverage even in complex layouts.

Built for Future Connectivity

Both routers are optimized for demanding applications such as 4K video streaming, online gaming, and IoT integration. The inclusion of MLO ensures low-latency performance, allowing multiple devices to operate simultaneously without interference. D-Link’s emphasis on sustainable design and simplified management aligns with broader trends in consumer networking. As Wi-Fi 7 adoption grows, these models provide a forward-looking option for users seeking reliable and scalable wireless infrastructure.

Wi-Fi 7’s Role in Network Evolution

Wi-Fi 7 introduces significant improvements over previous standards, including multi-link capabilities that allow devices to use multiple bands concurrently. This advancement reduces latency and increases throughput, particularly in environments with many connected devices. D-Link’s implementation of these features in both mesh and standalone formats reflects the flexibility required in today’s networking landscape. As smart homes and hybrid work continue to expand, such routers will play a key role in maintaining seamless digital experiences.
