IBM has unveiled its latest generation of enterprise servers, the IBM Power11, designed to redefine the landscape of business-critical computing. For the first time, Power11 will be simultaneously available across high-end, mid-range, and entry servers, alongside IBM Power Virtual Server in IBM Cloud. To further modernize application development, IBM watsonx Code Assistant for i will assist developers in extending critical RPG applications, enhancing ease and productivity. In terms of energy efficiency, Power11 offers twice the performance per watt compared to similar x86 servers and achieves up to 28 percent better server efficiency with its new Energy Efficient Mode compared to the Maximum Performance Mode on Power11.
