Shambles PC Edition Debuts Globally on Steam with Full DLC

A Unique Text Adventure Roguelike Hits PC
Global game publisher Gravity has officially launched the PC version of Shambles: Sons of the Apocalypse, the critically praised roguelike text adventure developed by EXRIX. The game made its debut on Steam on June 26, marking a significant milestone for the title after its highly successful mobile release earlier this year.
Shambles offers players a distinctive blend of gameplay elements. It merges the narrative-driven decision-making of a text RPG with card deck-building strategy and the unforgiving challenge of the roguelike genre. Every decision players make shapes the fate of their protagonist in a world teetering on the edge of ruin. Battles unfold in turn-based combat, where players rely on a carefully selected mix of cards and skills drawn from their personal deck. Progression comes in many forms — from character stat upgrades to equipment collection — offering players the freedom to customize their journey.
The newly released PC edition is being touted as the definitive version of Shambles. It arrives with the base game, all seven previously released DLC packs, fine-tuned gameplay balancing, and a brand-new difficulty setting designed for seasoned veterans looking for an even tougher challenge. Gravity has also confirmed that additional post-launch content is already in development, including hidden areas and expanded storylines for players to uncover.
From Mobile Hit to PC Release
Originally launched for mobile platforms in March, Shambles quickly found its audience, especially in its home market of Korea. The game soared to the number two position on Korea’s Google Play Top Paid Games chart and currently boasts an impressive 4.7 out of 5 user rating. Even before its full release, Shambles was turning heads in the indie scene. It secured a spot in the Top 10 at the Google Indie Game Festival and clinched the number one ranking in player reviews at the event.
The accolades didn’t stop there. The game went on to win the Grand Prize at the prestigious BIC Festival and was recognized as Game of the Month by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It also picked up honors at the G-STAR Indie Game Awards, further cementing its reputation as one of the standout indie titles of the year.
Now, with its release on PC, Shambles extends its reach to a broader global audience. The Steam version is priced at $19.99 and supports five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. To celebrate the launch, players can grab the game at a 10% discount until July 10.
A Word from Gravity
Jun Yoo, Head of Console Business at Gravity, emphasized the importance of Shambles within the company’s broader publishing strategy. “We believe Shambles has garnered such positive feedback due to its unique genre blend and rich storytelling, which has truly resonated through word-of-mouth,” Yoo said. He pointed out that the PC edition offers not only the complete game and all its DLC but also introduces a new difficulty mode that delivers an even more intense gameplay experience.
He added, “We will continue our commitment to discovering and introducing a wide variety of creative and engaging titles like Shambles. We ask for your continued interest and support for the PC version as well.”
