  • Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos has officially launched with full cross-platform support.
  • The game, rebuilt on Immutable’s infrastructure, introduces new systems, weapons, and progression mechanics.
  • A special Revival Event marks the release, offering players a chance to explore the updated economy and gameplay.

Launch and Infrastructure

Immutable and Dutch studio GAMEDIA have released the first public build of Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos. The title represents the return of one of web3’s earliest multiplayer action games, now rebuilt on Immutable’s next-generation gaming platform. Developers highlight that the relaunch focuses on improved performance and scalability. The release also coincides with a gameplay trailer, already shared by content creators to showcase the updated mechanics.

Central to the launch is the Revival Event, designed to attract both new and returning players. Participants can expand their collection of tanks, weapons, and upgrades while testing new progression systems. The event encourages experimentation with different builds and strategies. This approach aims to redefine how players engage with Spider Tanks in its latest iteration.

Expanded Arsenal and Cross-Platform Play

Players now have access to a range of new tank bodies and weapons. These additions allow for diverse tactical approaches, from long-range precision to close-quarters combat. Support-driven team compositions are also possible, broadening strategic options. With cross-platform support across PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, squads can now compete together regardless of device.

Spider Tanks has a legacy as one of the first on-chain multiplayer tank brawlers. Under Immutable, the game returns with refined systems and infrastructure aimed at long-term growth. The relaunch joins other collaborations in Immutable Play’s portfolio, including Ubisoft’s Might and Magic reboot and Habbo X. GAMEDIA’s leadership emphasized the importance of integrity and innovation in the partnership.

Spider Tanks originally launched in 2022 as part of Gala Games’ ecosystem, before GAMEDIA and Immutable took the lead in its revival. The game was notable for experimenting with blockchain-based ownership of in-game assets, a trend that has since influenced other web3 titles. Its return under Immutable reflects a broader industry shift toward balancing blockchain features with accessible gameplay. This evolution highlights how developers are adapting web3 concepts to mainstream gaming audiences.
