Zyxel Networks has introduced six new WiFi 7 access points designed specifically for small businesses seeking faster and more reliable wireless connectivity. The new models support indoor, outdoor, and desktop deployment, offering cloud-managed functionality at a price point accessible to smaller organizations. While WiFi 7-capable devices are increasingly available, many small enterprises face barriers to adoption due to cost and complexity. Zyxel’s latest additions aim to address these challenges by combining ease of use with enterprise-grade features.

Performance Enhancements and Technical Innovations

Each new access point includes capabilities not commonly found in standard WiFi 7 devices. Support for SSID VLAN tagging allows businesses to segment traffic by user type—such as staff, guests, or IoT devices—without requiring advanced IT knowledge. Two industry-first features, Smart Mesh Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and RF-first design, are intended to improve performance in dense or interference-prone environments. Smart Mesh MLO enables dual-radio backhaul, which can boost throughput by up to 40% and reduce latency in complex deployments.

The RF-first approach focuses on minimizing signal interference from nearby WiFi, mobile, or Bluetooth networks. Optimized antenna placement and isolation techniques help maintain signal clarity and strength. These design choices make the new APs particularly suitable for high-traffic areas like offices, conference rooms, and public venues. Zyxel’s emphasis on performance ensures that even small businesses can benefit from robust wireless infrastructure.

Security, Deployment, and Use Case Flexibility

All six models are powered by quad-core Qualcomm chipsets and feature NebulaFlex, allowing users to switch between local and cloud-based management. Zero-touch provisioning and app-based setup simplify installation, making the devices accessible to organizations without dedicated IT teams. Each model is tailored to specific environments, from outdoor patios (NWA55BE) to compact retail counters (NWA30BE). Options include BandFlex tri-band support, RADIUS authentication, and Captive Portal branding for guest access.

The lineup addresses a wide range of scenarios, including high-density office spaces, hospitality venues, and home offices. Models like the NWA90BE PRO and NWA50BE PRO offer flexible band selection to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. For businesses offering guest WiFi, security features ensure safe and branded login experiences. Compact designs and versatile mounting options make the devices suitable for temporary setups and space-constrained locations.

Compliance with EU Cybersecurity Standards

Zyxel’s WiFi 7 access points are among the first in the industry to meet the EN 18031 security standard. This ensures compliance with the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive, which outlines cybersecurity requirements for connected devices. By aligning with these regulations, Zyxel reinforces its commitment to secure and future-proof networking solutions. The expanded portfolio now includes 13 WiFi 7 models, offering one of the most comprehensive selections available for small business deployment.
